Rising Tides...

" It is a great nuisance that knowledge can be acquired only by hard work "

Finally, after holidaying for more than 3 months, came the moment of truth. Marked on the calender this 12th March, all SPM07 leavers will remember this date. By 10.45am, the teachers were back to school, with results in their hands. They held it for about 10 to 15 minutes- i'm not too sure of myself either, the adrenaline was so immense that i couldn't even bare looking at the time. We waited impatiently in our school canteen, with fans off, for the results. However, when the teachers arrived, we were hesitating to take the results- blame it on the nerves!

9112

This will be the 4-digit number i will remember for life. My results lie deeply hidden in this code, deciphered and cracked open would simply mean i got 9 A1s and 1 A2! Somehow, deep in my heart, deep, i felt like i was betrayed, stabbed from the back and unpleasantly surprised by somebody. Somebody whom i trusted, have confidence in him, but turned out otherwise, like a snake. His name is 'Bahasa Melayu'. And it was him that made my results seemed less perfect. And he's the A2 guy. Nevertheless, it's still an A and i have forgiven him, even bandaged my cracked faith, and auto-self healed and regenerated the dead cells due to the 'stab'. Time to brag and boast, and sorry if i am to accidentally hurt your feelings. I scored STRAIGHT AS! And i would say this is by far one of the best presents for a birthday. My birthday. Thankfully, this will be a memorable and an unforgettable day for me, for it was a long, happy and wonderful day!

As i said, flooded with birthday wishes, this year came along with a word of congratulation. Thank you for all! And apart from the results, i received an original DVD from my sis and my bro, one i have always longed for, and another storybook, an American literature, To Kill A Morkingbird, Harper Lee, from my bro. This was how the day went on...

Sri Bayu is located in Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Club. In fact, i celebrated my 16th birthday here too but that was buffet lunch. What a coincidence? To pamper myself, i ordered and feasted on the Grilled Fillet of Chicken with Cheese. A little overboard with the cheese though.

A birthday cake. No, my birthday cake! It's called Coffee Walnut Cake. Caffeine in the night anybody?

Picture perfect.

And that goes the wonderful day! Do come back for more! To mark my birthday in this blog, i'm going to launch, initiate and introduce the New 7 Wonders of this wonderful life and it'll be updated and posted along the sidebar.

The Next Day...

Off to the East Coast of Malaysia, Kuantan. Kuantan is a blooming town in Pahang, with sandy beaches and still unpolluted sea water, the town is my next destination. About 3 hours drive along the highway, we reached the town, but we stayed overnight in Swiss Garden Kuantan, Malaysia. It has been upgraded to a 5 star hotel and no doubt the lobby looks impressive and elegant. Bet their concept was 'water' as it's a resort situated along the beach. At night, the resort greets us with pleasure and a nicely-lit entrance that looks surreal, both peaceful and modern elements blended together, as we headed back after dinner.

Atmosphere, thumbs up!

3 Hours Before Dinner...

Beach wear? To the beach!

Welcoming our presence is Mr Wave. Wife, Mrs Breeze, was an easy lady to fall in love with.

Great sport!

Neighbours Mr and Mrs Crab invited us for a little game of 'Hide and Seek'. Guess who won?

A masterpiece done by Mr and Mrs Crab. Cool. And we pulled out from the game!

I was tempted to play the grand piano there, but i didn't go for it!

The Next Morning...

To get cheaper room rates, we chose not to have breakfast in the resort and headed to the town- we had an experience with it once. Back from breakfast, mingled around in the beach before packing back home.

The Chinese restaurant. The Blossom. Highly recommended, Hot and Spicy Szechuan Soup. Challenge your taste buds, ask for more or less pepper. Blew me away once!

Rising tides, drove back home. Behind the scene, this is also considered a mini makan makan trip. But enough with food, i'm trying something different. Face the fact, face the truth. Rising tides, it's more than just the title of this post, but carries hidden meaning, and that's for you to crack open yourself! wc08, is mixed with all emotion, but it's no doubt that he is cruising on cloud nine!
