Bedtime Stories

" What if the stories you told came to life " - Bedtime Stories tagline

Your fun is only limited by your imagination, absolutely spot on! So if i decide to let my imagination be unlimited and free-flow, then i'll have lots and lots of fun- oh i will like that. What to expect in Bedtime Stories, starring Adam Sandler? I read some reviews but i did not really remember them. So, this movie was actually sort of a sudden decision after some light shopping in KLCC on a Wednesday afternoon- cheaper rates drove me to watch it somehow. And it is a show great for a family weekend!

Raining gumballs. Didn't you wish for this when you were a kid? I surely did.

Bugsy, if i'm right. Named after its eyes the size of a ... Though so, it is adorable and i will want a pet like that.

A pinch of romance, a handful of comedy. Perfect combo! Hilarious and light. Skeeter, played by Adam Sandler, works in a hotel and is waiting to be a general manager. Someone gets in his way and his dream washes down the drain. But he does not give up. He is hoping to meet the 'fairest among the damsels' also. Spoiler! The 'fairest damsel' is the woman seating beside him.

Skeeter helps his 'sissy' to look after her children while she goes for an interview. He is then requested by her children to tell them bedtime stories. Night after night, he realizes that the stories he told come to life. Magic! Then he slowly tries to take charge of the stories, making him be the hero and ends with a happy ending. Unfortunately, he said that life or reality does not always end with a happy ending and the children decide to end the story rather tragic... And when it's tragic in the story, then it'll be tragic in real life.

But it's always good to try get a happy ending. Step up and fight for the ending we want, a happy ending of course- that's a noble value to be inculcated. Skeeter tries to make amendments and he finally ends it in a tone he has always wanted.

All in all, this movie is a great watch for the whole family. It plays your imagination with a proper blend of comedy and romance. Despite being predictable, the storyline is creative and fun. Strong, lovable and i don't mind getting a DVD and watch it over and over again!

Next big thing to look forward to is the Chinese New Year- the Year of the Golden Ox!

And in days, i'll be heading back to my uni and start my second semester- so watch out for Season 2 readers! Bedtime Stories might be my last time in the cinemas until June, that's when Transformers 2 will open...

wc09 wishes that all his bedtime stories will come true. He's entering the land of magic- sweet and lovable.
