" Melodious Rendezvous " - Theme of the UTPCO-Shanghai night 2009
Victor Hugo once said that music express that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent. It is just so true! My uni invited XiYao Chen, one of the top 10 best er-hu performers in the world and Steven Goh, a renowned conductor, to tame the Chancellor Hall. They teamed up with several schools around the nation, and of course, with my friends who are in the Chinese Orchestra. I have to say, the night was wonderful!
The event lasted about 2 hours, with many songs being enjoyed by the audience. To be honest, some songs were so melodious that it, with time, made me sleepy. But i was energetic from start right to the end, giving endless support and thunderous claps after each amazing performance.
Prepare to be wowed. Let the show begin!
Miss Chen XiYao doing her solo with full of emotions and expressions. What can i say, she really is a pro!
Typewriter is interesting to watch!
This is good.
Piano and er-hu warming the hearts with Romance.
Look how she control the song, and move along with it. True artist!
Cheers to my friends too.

After the show, we headed to the cafe in our village for supper. Sadly, the noodles were finished, and we had to settle for drinks only. I didn't perform, but i was surely entertained. Well done, people!
As a Petroleum Engineering student, we had a dinner on Wednesday. The food was good, but not enough to leave me satisfied- i was starving as dinner was at 9 pm and we were limited with the food. Anyway, i was off my hunger. There were performances, award ceremony to the undergraduates, speeches, lucky draw and best dressed award. Nothing much after that, except for the plenty of photos.

We were early so we left for Pavilion to pass time.
Puven and i were trying to find ways to pass time.
So was Amrith. Yup, the dress-code is formal top, casual bottom.

More group shots. Then, dinner was over. Went back to room, and had to complete the Engineering Maths assignment. Due to that, i had a late night sleep. And the next day's class was at 8 am!
wc09 enjoys listening to music, be it Chinese instruments or any other instruments, and the nights had been wonderful.
